Amber Cottage & "The Hospitality House" open the door to the delights of the historical locations of the Chewton Heritage Diggings and the cultural attractions of Castlemaine and surrounding areas.

We offer boutique-style accommodation in the Amber Cottage studio, and European-style in-house accommodation in "The Hospitality House". You can choose between a quiet romantic break in the cottage, or relax with your friends and family in the house.

Amber Cottage (self-contained cottage studio)

Amber Cottage & "The Hospitality House" offer modern, home-style accommodation for up to 10 people: 2 in the new cottage studio and 8 in the lovely renovated house.

In-house guests can get their visit off to a good start by moving upstairs to relax and enjoy a variety of spacious rooms and feel at home straight away. The house is ideal for families or a group of friends.

The cottage studio is self-contained, while the accommodation in the house comprises three huge bedrooms which share a splendid, large, new bathroom.

Guests have access to two private sitting rooms. The shared office space offers Austar TV, a library, and tea and coffee facilities. A barbecue area is available on the outdoor deck.

UPSTAIRS (2nd area)

It's the meeting place for all guests for breakfast and meals, or just to relax. Make a cheese platter, share a glass of wine, unwind with a book, or sit out on the balcony and enjoy watching the birds and local wild life. Plenty of lounge settees, coffee tables, crockery, glasses, etc. for six. Austar TV, large fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, microwave, air conditioning, books to borrow.

Bigger and better than a motel family room, but no bed-making service provided. Upstairs guests share the bathroom/toilet at the foot of the stairs. Guests have to know each other. We never book mixed groups or families.

All bedrooms have quality bed linen and towels.
